ETIIC Sàrl (“we”, “us”) is the data controller responsible for your personal data processed through this website. This policy complies with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG/revDSG) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable.

2. Our Approach to Privacy

EquityTribes is a static website. We have designed it to collect as little personal data as possible. There are no user accounts, no comment systems, no tracking pixels, and no advertising networks. The site itself sets no cookies.

3. Data We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of personal data:

Server & CDN Logs — This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect technical data including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited as part of their CDN and security services. This data is processed by Cloudflare under their own privacy policy and is not directly accessible to us in identifiable form.

Analytics — If privacy-first analytics are enabled (e.g. Plausible, Umami), these tools collect anonymous, aggregated usage data only. No cookies are set, no personal data is collected, and no data is shared with third parties. Individual visitors cannot be identified.

Newsletter Subscription — If you subscribe to Signal Dispatches (our newsletter), we collect and store your email address for the purpose of sending you updates. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.

Contact Communications — If you contact us by email, we process the personal data contained in your correspondence (name, email address, message content) for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31 nDSG) — For website security and infrastructure operation via Cloudflare, and for anonymous analytics to understand how the site is used.

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) — For newsletter subscriptions. You provide your email address voluntarily and may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.

Legitimate Interest — For responding to contact inquiries.

5. Cookies

This website does not set any first-party cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because there are no cookies to consent to. If this changes in future (e.g. through the addition of third-party services), this policy will be updated and appropriate consent mechanisms will be implemented.

6. Data Sharing

We may share data with the following categories of recipients, solely as necessary to operate this website:

Infrastructure providers — Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, DDoS protection) under their data processing terms.

Newsletter provider — The email service used for Signal Dispatches (if enabled), under a data processing agreement.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

7. International Transfers

Cloudflare operates a global CDN, which means technical data may be processed in countries outside Switzerland and the EEA. Cloudflare participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and maintains appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

8. Data Retention

Server logs — Retained by Cloudflare per their data retention policy (typically <72 hours for security logs).

Analytics — Aggregated, anonymous data; no personal data retained.

Newsletter subscriptions — Retained until you unsubscribe.

Contact correspondence — Retained for up to 3 years from last contact, or longer where required by law.

9. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and the Swiss nDSG, you have the right to access your personal data, rectify inaccurate data, request erasure (“right to be forgotten”), restrict processing, request data portability, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
